Cupfolio belongs to you. If you want to leave, this page tells you exactly how-and what we delete versus what we keep.
How to request deletion
Send an email from the address you signed up with to hello@cupfolio.app with the subject line Delete my cupfolio account. That’s the whole process.
We confirm within 24 hours and complete the deletion within 30 days. You’ll receive a final confirmation email when it’s done.
What gets deleted
- Account. Your row in Supabase Auth, including the email address used to sign in. Cupfolio will no longer recognise that email as a returning user.
- Profile data. Display name, brew-method preferences, roast preferences, grinder, dripper, notification preferences.
- Coffee data. All bean bags, filters, brew logs, cold-brew sessions, and recipes synced to your account.
- Notes and ratings. Tasting notes, ratings, custom labels-everything you wrote.
What we keep (and why)
- Anonymised aggregate counts.e.g. “cups logged in May 2026”-no row tied to a person, used only for product metrics.
- Backups. Encrypted database backups can take up to 90 days to be fully expired by our hosting provider (Supabase). Your deleted rows are not accessible from those backups except in the unlikely event of a disaster-recovery restore-and we would re-run deletion immediately if that ever happened.
- Anything stored only on your device. Photos and the local SQLite copy live on your phone. Uninstall the app to remove them-we cannot reach them.
Want to take your data with you first?
Open the app → Settings → Data → Export data. You’ll get a portable backup of every bag, brew, and note. Save it somewhere before requesting deletion.
Just want to delete some data, not the account?
- Delete a bag-Stock tab → tap a bag → Delete bag.
- Delete a brew-Home → tap any brew log → Delete brew.
- Delete a filter-Stock tab → Filters → long-press a filter → Delete.
Each deletion is permanent and propagates to the cloud (if signed in) within seconds.
